Clarisse Abujamra nasceu dia 3 de abril de 1948 na cidade de São Paulo. Aos dezoito anos foi para Nova York onde cursou por dois anos a escola de Martha Graham, voltando muitas vezes para cursos de aperfeiçoamento na técnica, sendo que uma delas como bolsista da Fullbright.
Aos 20 anos iniciou seu trabalho como atriz. Estudou com Eugenio Kusnet interpretação. Em Nova York fez cursos de direção no Circle Rep. e View Points com Anne Bogart.
No teatro, conta com mais de 40 espetáculos como atriz .Além de dirigir e produzir também assina a tradução de vários espetáculos.
No cinema Clarisse teve seu trabalho reconhecido não apenas no Brasil como internacionalmente nos Festivais da Colômbia e Lyon/ França, como melhor atriz no filme Chega de Saudade. A Coleção Invisível do diretor Bernard Attal e Como Nossos Pais, ambos Kikito melhor atriz coadjuvante / Anjos do Arrabalde, Governador do Estado – melhor atriz – direção de Carlos Reichenbach.
Na TV Trabalhou por 3 anos como apresentadora do programa É Proibido Colar, ao lado de seu ex-marido Antônio Fagundes. Hoje conta com mais de 20 novelas e mini séries para as TVs Globo, Bandeirantes e Tupi.

The Clarisse
Clarisse Abujamra was born on April 3,1948 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When she was 18 years old, she moved to New York City to study at the prestigious Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance for two years. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the school in YEAR.She returned to New York repeatedly perfect the Graham technique.
At age 20 she began her acting career. She studied interpretation with Eugenio Kusnet and later studied Directing in New York at Circle Rep. and View Points with Anne Bogart.
She has worked extensively in the theater, and appworked as appeared in over 40 stage productions as an actress. In addition she has directed and produced many theatrical productions. She is a respected as a translator of plays from English and Spanish to Portuguese.
On film her work has not only been recognized in Brazil but also internationally. She has received awards for Best Actress in Colombia Israel and France for the films Chega de Saudades directed by Lais Bodansky , A Coleção Invisível directed by Bernard Attal, Anjos do Arrbalde directed by Carlos Reichenbach and Como Nossos Pais directed by Lais Bodansky. She is a two time winner of the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Festival de Gramados in Brazil.
On television she has appeared in over 20 Telenovelas and Mini series for TV Globo, Tv Tupi, Tv Bandeirantes and SBT. For three years she presented the television program E Proibido Colar with her ex husband the actor Antonio Fagundes.
